  • 22 SUMMER SCHOOL SCHOLARS REWARDED WITH DIPLOMAS

    22 hard-working and persevering Summer School scholars accepted the fruits of their efforts in the form of a high school diploma. The commencement ceremony at Paragon Learning Center saw diplomas conferred on those seniors from the District’s 5 high schools who during June and July completed the credits needed to graduate.

Mr. Lucero passionately imparts his decades of experience to both the next generation of music makers as well as those seasoned professionals who demand the high caliber of excellence he is known for.

  • ALUMNI ROLL CALL: RICK MACIAS MADE SPORTS, YOUNG PEOPLE HIS LIFE

    Coinciding with his retirement after 36 years of service as a teacher, coach and administrator – the past decade-plus as Athletic Director – Rick Macias was bestowed with a Lifetime Achievement Award. It was a timely and fitting reward for a man who dedicated his life to the growth of young men and women in the athletic competition arena.

  • CENTENNIAL TEACHER IS AIR FORCE ASSOCIATION CHAPTER TEACHER OF THE YEAR

    Cheryl Farrer, who teaches Advanced Placement Chemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Earth Science at Centennial High School, has been named Teacher of the Year by the Mel Harmon Chapter #128 of the Air Force Association. As the Air Force Association promotes STEM education as a key to a stronger and more secure country, local chapters annually honor a teacher who exemplifies the best in Science-based instruction.
